The paintings of Bob Plant
It is difficult for me not to think of Bob Plant's paintings in terms of music - so much of what I value in music has its counterpart here: rhythm, colour, polyphony, flow, energy, together with an inexhaustible exuberance of invention. Klee once made a painting of a singer's vocal fabric; Bob's paintings seem to reflect the intricate fabric of our conscious and unconscious experience, with its multiplicity and unparalleled richness and variety of texture. It constitutes a superb advertisement for life. His work has been a constant source of inspiration for me, and it's a joyful privilege to share it with you.
